The next release in the Catalytic Artist Album fundraising program in support of social justice is CAA-004, the Heart of the Ghost recording "Live In Chicago," which features Luke Stewart (bass), Jarrett Gilgore (alto sax), and Ian McColm (drums). All monthly editions of the CAA albums released so far have been member-exclusive. Catalytic will now be reissuing these for purchase once a week, with proceeds going to non-profit organizations chosen by Catalytic co-op artists.
Proceeds raised from sales of this recording will go in perpetuity to Black Lives Matter DC, an organization recommended by Luke (
www.blacklivesmatterdmv.org). Black Lives Matter DC is a "radical collective of Black artists, infrastructure builders and movement healers and strategists from the future, organizing in the here and now around two movement equations. These equations inform how we live as our highest selves while dismantling White Supremacy, Patriarchy, Capitalism, Imperialism and the role the state plays in supporting them.
